In 2005, Londi Moore was a founding partner in Chateau Nouveau, LLC, a successful residential
building and development company, in Mandeville, Louisiana. After Katrina and Rita, coupled with a long sabbatical, she made the decision to relocate to her favorite vacation location, the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. |

"The destruction by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita of my own small town sanctuary of Mandeville, Louisiana,
precipitated my relocation to the mountains of northwestern North Carolina. During this past year I have
asked myself a thousand times ... why so many homes did not withstand nature's fury ... why so many had to
suffer for months without power, water, and cooling/heating? My sabbatical was dedicated to finding the best construction design and products that limit these threats. My ambition is to provide home buyers the best structurally sound homes while reducing energy consumption and dependence on utility companies. And, in the event of a natural or man-made interruption of services, I want to asssist my home buyers in preparing their home with alternative resources for electricity, water, and healing/cooling. We want our families to be safe and secure, to live life with quality and assurance that they can weather the storm." Londi's passion for the "next project" is only a new home away. The organizer within her thrives on managing details - while the artist within her thrives on the creative juices of building. She takes pride in acquiring the finest materials while balancing budget constraints. Tremendous personal thought goes into every material & fixture for the new home, evidenced in the flow, function, quality, and beauty of each home. Londi's second love is spending time on the job site each day, field-managing the construction of each home.
